— Rehearsal Dinner —

We will have the rehearsal dinner at a nearby off-site restaurant no more than 5 miles from the Airbnb. The dinner will be at Pacific Sushi & Grill. The address is 613 Chetco Avenue, Brookings, OR. For parking, there is free street parking outside or adjourning the restaurant or in the public parking lot across the street. You may drive with us at the Airbnb or meet us there (if meeting us there, just let us know or we’ll communicate by group chat).

At 5:00pm, we are also planning a short welcome hike for anyone interested in seeing the redwoods before Thurday.
This will be located at the Simpson-Reed Trailhead.

Transportation: If you plan to drive, we recommend driving directly to the Airbnb.
If you do not plan to drive, please email or text Johnny or Jenny for carpool accommodations.

Food and drinks: We will pay for dinner at the restaurant. We will have light refreshments at the Airbnb.

Dress code: Formal or black tie-optional. Colors preferred; no white or off-white dresses. Be prepared to walk on soil (muddy after it rains), gravel, and rocks (we strongly advise against wearing stilettos or any other footwear with a thin heel).

Transportation: Everyone must meet us on the first floor of the Airbnb above by 11:00 a.m. Everyone will have transportation from the Airbnb to the ceremony location. See “Travel” tab for more information.

Food and drinks: There will light snacks and refreshments.

Bathrooms: There are bathrooms at the entrance of the location.

— Photoshoot Schedule — Templeman Grove photoshoot: 12:20 p.m. to 12:35 p.m. (time divided between the grove area and at riverbed area) The grove area is a densely-wooded area and the land is mostly flat, with soil (muddy after it rains) and ferns. The riverbed area does not have any trees and it is entirely covered by smooth pebbles and large stones.

Stout Grove photoshoot: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The grove is mostly densely wooded with some clearings. The land is mostly flat, with soil (muddy after it rains) and ferns. The trees are old-growth redwoods ranging from hundreds to several thousand years old; the grove is nearly as old as dinosaurs and existed before birds, flowers, and humans. There are hiking trails that lead to the riverbed area, which does not have any trees and it is entirely covered by smooth pebbles and large stones. Please stay on the trail if you choose to explore the area after the photoshoot.

— Personal Time, and Outfit Changes — 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Food: There will light snacks and refreshments. We recommend checking local restaurants if you would like to eat and drink before the reception.

In addition to pre-gaming for the reception food, you may also use this time for naps, outfit changes, touch-ups, bonding over your shared childhood trauma and/or trauma living under late-stage capitalism, etc.

Some Recommendations: Brookings, Oregon; Oregon Coast (Oregon Coastal Hwy towards Gold Beach) (i.e., Cape Sebastian, Secret Beach, Natural Bridges); Crescent City, CA; Redwoods (i.e., Grove of Titans, Simpson-Reed Trail, Leiffer Loop, Fern Canyon, Tall Trees).

— Reception —

— Reception Schedule — Grand entrance: 5:15 p.m. Buffet dinner: 6:00 p.m. Cake cutting: 7:00 p.m. Dancing, board games, and chilling: 8:00 p.m. onwards

Dress code: business casual, formal, and black tie-optional. The buffet dinner will be a candlelit dinner in the backyard of the Airbnb, the floor of which will be grassy. There will be heat lamps if it gets cold and/or we may relocate indoors. You may change into something more casual after 8:00 p.m.

Food: Chinese and Thai for appetizers and main courses, various desserts, wedding cake, and open bar. Please advise us of any food allergies or dietary preferences when you RSVP, or contact Johnny or Jenny separately if you have already made reservations.
